Care Assistant / Personal Care Aide
Support residents with daily routines, companionship, and gentle assistance — a caring first step into senior care, with paid training and a clear path to CNA.
About the role
Care Assistants help residents feel safe, known, and supported throughout the day. This role is ideal if you are starting in senior care and want hands-on experience with paid training toward CNA certification.
What you’ll do
- Assist residents with daily living tasks under nurse and CNA guidance
- Provide companionship, cues, and light personal care support
- Help with mealtime support, escorts, and activity engagement
- Maintain a clean, welcoming environment in resident spaces
- Communicate resident needs promptly to the care team
- Participate in paid training and skills development
What you’ll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Warm presence and patience with older adults
- Willingness to complete paid onboarding and CNA pathway training
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with mobility throughout a shift
- Reliable transportation to our Nestucca Lane community
